Autonomous rescue robots

Group of autonomous assistants robots deployed in enlarge navigation by particle sensors.

Guardians are a swarm of robots applied to search and navigation in urban environments. The main application of the project is search and rescue in the vicinity of an industrial building in smoke conditions, according to the requirements of the Fire and Rescue Services in South Yorkshire.

These operations are time-consuming and dangerous for the release of toxic gases that can affect and damage severely the senses, causing disorientation and loss of localization. Robots notified of the presence of toxic gases, maintain operational communication links, derive location information and assist in the search process.
