The mobile robot ELI performs as a smart shopping cart: it is able to follow the Customer around the store while this one is selecting the products, it can guide the Customer where the products are and also allows automatic payment, among other functions.
ELI integrates human voice recognition sensors and others that allow to avoid obstacles. In that way, it can follow the consumer and navigate autonomously. By means of its onboard screen, the consumer can select products of interest and the robot guides her/him to them.
Payment can also be done through ELI simply using the sensor to scan the barcode of a product and by prior registration in the appropriate application.
Other features include, find the location of a car in a parking lot and verify purchase information, such as discount coupons or duration of purchase.
