Barrett T., a leader in cutting-edge robotic arm and hand technology, is Robotnik’s new North American distributor. The relationship between Robotnik and Barrett has been strengthened over the years since it began in 2004 when Robotnik became the distributor of Barrett’s products throughout Europe.
Roberto Guzman, CEO and founding partner of Robotnik, explains, “Robotnik values its deep partnership with Barrett. We share the values of Barrett, a company that is a technology leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance robotic manipulators and is at the forefront of knowledge.”
“Barrett Technology is part of robotics history, having pioneered the development of lightweight manipulators. We can’t imagine a better partner to sell our platforms as well as to collaborate in the exciting market of mobile manipulators,” explains Roberto Guzman.
Recently, the two companies have developed and commercialised the G-WAM™ mobile manipulator, which is born from the integration of the WAM™ robotic arm together with Barrett’s hand and Robotnik’s Guardian™ mobile robot. The equipment runs on ROS architecture.
Barrett CEO, Bill Townsend says, “Working with Robotnik over the years has been very satisfying,” and this new step in their business and technology relationship will contribute to that.
