Barrett Technology and Robotnik launch onto the market the new X-WAM, a mobile manipulator with an integrated scissor mechanism that allows to increase the workspace enormously compared with the traditional kinematic configuration. The omnidirectional platform adds a new vertical linear axis that increases the arm workspace allowing to perform pick and place handling operations from the floor up to 2 meter height. The omnidirectional platform includes also a suspension system and the indpendant motorwheels allow to mount different rim-mount wheels thus allowing omnidirectional mecanum wheels (indoor), as rubber-foam wheels (outdoor and indoor).
